Thanks so much Lee, and for the invitation. I do already have a memoir writing group that I started a year and a half ago, it's going strong, and it's a great thing to be a part of. That said, I have been thinking about assembling a group of memoirists writing on Substack, so perhaps we are thinking of the same thing. What are you envisioning? bdwelle@gmail.com
Fantastic, Bowen. As a writing teacher, I run into a lot of people who want to learn to write better. I’ve treated my study of memoir as a professional - studying craft books and reading memoirs. I would be happy to participate in a substack memoirist writing group. It’s not about ownership of a group for me. It’s about camaraderie and helping each other write well. That said, I have ideas. I’ll email and we can discuss more freely. Cheers!
